Job summary

Dave Jones, LLC is seeking an HVAC Installer to install heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and commercial settings in Madison, Wisconsin. You will load/unload equipment, read plans, and ensure installations meet code.

We offer hourly pay $24–$34 with overtime, PTO, sick days, paid holidays, and a 401(k) with company match. Qualifications include 2+ years HVAC construction or current apprenticeship, a high school diploma/GED, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of HVAC construction experience or currently in an HVAC apprenticeship.
• High school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license.
• Comfortable with hand and power tools; able to follow instructions, multitask, and communicate clearly with field and office teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the install: load/unload equipment, cut sheet metal, assemble components, install ductwork, gas and condensate piping, and venting—safely and to code.
• Wire and troubleshoot low-voltage controls and wiring to bring systems online.
• Read blueprints (pre-drawn or field-laid) and translate into accurate layouts.
• Cut openings while protecting structural integrity and jobsite safety.
• Keep materials and truck stock organized; communicate needs to prevent return trips.
• Step up to manage tasks and crews when needed; train apprentices and fellow installers.
• Model and uphold safety culture so every teammate goes home safe.
• Four 10-hour days, with overtime as needed; year-round work to keep skills sharp and pay steady.
