Job summary

ConServ Building Services, LLC is urgently seeking a Lead Installer for the Tampa Bay area. The role focuses on HVAC installation of RTUs, split systems, and specialty equipment, with full system change-outs and thorough startup/verification processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of HVAC field experience (commercial preferred).
• Strong knowledge of installation practices, system design, and controls.
• Proven experience with refrigeration piping and brazing.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex HVAC systems independently.
• EPA Certification (required).
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation of HVAC equipment including RTUs, split systems, and specialty systems.
• Execute full system change-outs from demolition to final startup.
• Install and fabricate refrigeration piping systems (copper, brazing, pressure testing, evacuation).
• Install, troubleshoot, and integrate HVAC controls (thermostats, VAV systems, BAS interfaces).
• Perform system startup, commissioning, and performance verification.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues.
• Read and interpret blueprints, submittals, and mechanical drawings.
• Coordinate with project managers and field teams to ensure project success.

What you will be doing:

• Perform installation of HVAC equipment including RTUs, split systems, and specialty systems
• Execute full system change-outs from demolition to final startup
• Install and fabricate refrigeration piping systems (copper, brazing, pressure testing, evacuation)
• Install, troubleshoot, and integrate HVAC controls (thermostats, VAV systems, BAS interfaces)
• Perform system startup, commissioning, and performance verification
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues
• Read and interpret blueprints, submittals, and mechanical drawings
• Coordinate with project managers and field teams to ensure project success
• Attend meetings & coordination of project schedule with owners' representative
• Pre & Post job walks with owners' representative and tenants
• Scheduling & overseeing of subcontractors and other trades
• Reading of mechanical plans, layouts and installation of required mechanical work
• Hanging or setting of mechanical equipment
• Installation of sheet metal & fiberboard duct, dampers, louvers, fans, flex duct, air devices and other duct accessories
• Installation, measuring/ordering of duct fittings and accessories for completion of the project
• Insulation of duct with exterior duct wrap as required
• Tracking/updating of materials, project schedule & keeping accurate copy of installs for as-builts
• Working superintendent and lead installer of changeouts, buildouts and other projects
• Initial jobsite reviews for material gathering and estimating purposes
• Startup reports, material receipts and updating of work order status through company phone
• Assists with other tasks as requested

What you need for this position:
