Responsibilities:

• Install commercial HVAC equipment according to industry standards.
• Read and understand wiring schematics to ensure correct low-voltage wiring installation.
• Install factory accessories for full equipment functionality.
• Wire and install smoke detectors to ensure proper shutdown upon activation.
• Install and braze refrigerant piping, pull vacuum, and charge systems per manufacturer specifications.
• Install exhaust fans, unit heaters, and gas heaters along with necessary accessories.
• Install air curtains and associated components as needed.
• Willingness to run residential service calls during peak seasons (optional).
• Communicate and interact with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC systems to maintain optimal performance.
• Provide customers with IAQ (Indoor Air Quality) solutions and replacement options.
• Learn and use Service Titan CRM software for job tracking.
• Prepare service invoices using a flat-rate pricing structure for transparency and profitability.
• Replace HVAC systems, including heat pumps, AC units, and gas furnaces.
• Maintain company van stock for efficiency.
• Assist new employees by providing training and expertise.
• Participate in on-call rotation once a month.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of HVAC Service Tech experience required
• Universal EPA Certification (Required)
• Journeyman's Card (Preferred)
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams
• Experience with refrigerant handling and piping
• Knowledge of HVAC installation, servicing, and maintenance
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Willingness to work on-call (once a month)
• Valid driver's license and an insurable driving record

Work Schedule:

• Flexible schedule, full-time (40 hours per week)
• On-call rotation once a month (residential service technician only)

Work Location:

• Based in Virginia with travel to commercial and residential job sites
