Job summary

SMART IT People seeks an Installation Project Manager / Trainer in Raleigh, NC to oversee commercial HVAC project installations, delegate tasks, and ensure on-time, accurate completion per blueprints and instructions. You will guide the installation team, coordinate with estimators and sales, and ensure adherence to safety rules.

The role emphasizes leadership of installers, quality control, and effective communication with customers and GC partners to drive successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Commercial HVAC installation experience.
• 3+ years managing a team of installers.
• Working knowledge of NC Mechanical, Electrical and Gas Code.
• Compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Knowledge of building codes.
• Attend weekly Ops Meetings to review Priority Report for current, ongoing, and new installation jobs.

Responsibilities

• Document and follow up on action items from meetings.
• Provide guidance to Estimator on Bid estimating, as required.
• Meet with Salesperson and/or Estimator for job turnovers.
• Serve as liaison between Salesperson/Estimator and Mechanics on questions.
• Liaise with GCs on ongoing projects.
• Provide guidance, feedback and training to installation team members on technical skills and company processes.
• Assist mechanics with major or difficult assignments.
• Conduct quality-control review of completed work for compliance and efficiency.
• Communicate job information to team for planning and execution.
• Ensure change orders are submitted and communicated to appropriate parties.
• Meet Inspectors and resolve items from failed inspections.

SMART IT People has a full-time salaried position opportunity for an Installation Project Manager / Trainer with a reputable Commercial HVAC company in Raleigh, NC. The position is responsible for overseeing the installation of assigned Commercial HVAC projects, delegating tasks, ensuring on time and accurate completion in accordance with blueprints or written instructions. This position ensures the installation functions as designed and satisfies the contracted

scope.

Must have skills:

• 5+ years of Commercial HVAC installation experience

• Meet Inspectors and resolve items from failed inspections, as needed.
• Ensure the overall success of the department and provide feedback on scheduled installations.
