Charlotte Mechanical is seeking a skilled HVAC Installer to join our Raleigh, NC team. You will install HVAC systems in new multi-family residential construction, read blueprints, and ensure installations meet company standards and applicable codes while prioritizing safety and quality workmanship.

Ideal candidates have residential installation experience, strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently and as part of a crew, and reliable transportation to job sites.

Qualifications

• Previous HVAC installation experience in residential or multi-family construction preferred.
• Working knowledge of HVAC installation methods, materials, and tools.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow installation specifications.

Responsibilities

• Install air handlers, furnaces, heat pumps, and related HVAC equipment in new multi-family residential buildings.
• Install flex duct, metal ductwork, boots, ceiling registers, grilles, and diffusers.
• Assist with refrigerant lines, condensate drains, ventilation components, and equipment supports as required.
• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications; ensure compliance with codes and standards.

Description: Charlotte Mechanical is seeking a skilled and dependable HVAC Installer to join our growing team in Raleigh, NC. This position focuses on the installation of HVAC systems in new multi-family residential construction projects. The ideal candidate has experience installing residential HVAC equipment, works safely and efficiently, and takes pride in producing quality work while meeting project schedules.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Install air handlers, furnaces, heat pumps, and related HVAC equipment in new multi-family residential buildings.
• Install flex duct, metal ductwork, boots, ceiling registers, grilles, and diffusers.
• Assist with the installation of refrigerant lines, condensate drains, ventilation components, and equipment supports as required.
• Read and interpret blueprints, installation drawings, and specifications.
• Ensure installations comply with company standards, manufacturer requirements, and applicable building codes.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and other construction equipment.
• Coordinate work with supervisors, subcontractors, and other trades to maintain project schedules.
• Follow all OSHA regulations and Charlotte Mechanical safety policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

Work Environment

This position is performed on active construction sites. Employees regularly work in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, humidity, and rain. Exposure to moving mechanical equipment, construction hazards, dust, noise, and elevated work areas should be expected. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
