Job summary

Plumbline Services is currently seeking HVAC Installers to join our team of creative and energetic employees dedicated to delivering the best customer service experience. Our Installers educate customers on product options, remove and replace HVAC equipment, and install add-on accessories with high-quality work.

In this role you will travel to job sites within our service area, design duct systems, mentor apprentices, and process invoices on site.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience with refrigeration and HVAC components
• EPA Type II Certification required
• Must provide basic HVAC install tools and be proficient with testing equipment
• Excellent customer service skills and desire to exceed expectations
• Knowledge of city codes and relevant regulations
• Service Titan experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Ability to crawl in tight spaces and climb ladders

Responsibilities

• Install/Replace HVAC equipment including ductwork, attic/vertical splits, rooftop units
• Maintain company vehicle and inventory
• Travel to job sites and coordinate with dispatch
• Design duct systems for comfort and efficiency
• Engage with homeowners to understand needs and potential upsell opportunities
• Generate invoices and process payments on site
• Participate in training and stay updated on technologies
• Mentor apprentices and entry-level installers

Plumbline Services is currently seeking HVAC Installers to join our team comprised of creative and energetic employees, who are dedicated to delivering the best customer service experience every day. Our Installers serve the customers by educating them on the available product options, removing and replacing HVAC equipment as well as installing add-on accessories when needed while providing high quality work.

What Will I Do?

• Install/Replace HVAC equipment including, but not limited to ductwork, attic and/or vertical splits (gas or heat pump), rooftop package units (gas or heat pump)
• Maintain good working order of company vehicle
• Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.
• Travel to job sites in the service area, and work with dispatch to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to the customer
• Design Duct Systems for Optimal Comfort and Efficiency
• Engage in conversation with the homeowner to uncover any concern or interests regarding their AC system which could lead to potential accessory sales or a new system replacement
• Understand company pricing program and generate appropriate customer invoices and other paperwork at the job site and electronically process credit card payments
• Participate in company-provided training opportunities on customer service and the latest industry technologies.
• Work with apprentices and entry-level installers to coach and mentor

Do I have What it Takes?

• 2+ years’ experience with knowledge in refrigeration function and theory, the ability to diagnose and perform replacement of HVAC related components such as Air Conditioners & Heat Pumps, Furnaces & Air Handlers, Duct Work & Zone Systems, Thermostats, Air Filters/filtration Systems, Low and high voltage wiring
• Type II EPA Certification
• Must possess and maintain a basic set of HVAC installation hand tools and be proficient in the use of testing equipment, including but not limited to wrenches, screwdrivers/nut drivers, sheet metal and ductwork tools, hammers, refrigerant gauges, manometers, magnahelic gauges, carbon monoxide detectors, psychrometers, and micron gauges. Candidates are responsible for providing their own required tools and testing equipment.
• Excellent customer service skills with a strong desire to exceed customer expectations
• Working knowledge of city codes
• Service Titan experience preferred
• Ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure job is done correctly the first time
• Ability to crawl in tight places and climb ladders; work in attics, garages, crawl spaces, and on roof
