Job summary

Service Experts is seeking an Installer Helper to assist with residential and light commercial HVAC installations at customer homes in Scarborough, ME. The role operates under direct supervision and involves lifting, carrying, and handling equipment as part of the installation team.

The position requires 0–2 years of HVAC exposure, a high school diploma or GED, EPA/safety certifications, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with additional HVAC training preferred.
• Must possess valid licensing or certification as required by local laws.
• EPA and safety certifications required.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC functionality and related accessories.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate tools and equipment.
• Reading wiring diagrams.
• Strong communication for customer service.
• Effective time-management and organization.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Flexibility for hours and on-call shifts.
• Ability to access attics, basements, crawl spaces; lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist Installer or Lead Installer to install HVAC equipment and accessories in customers' homes.
• Help install heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment and accessories.
• Assist in duct and duct fittings installation as needed.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain high customer satisfaction.
• Assist with the delivery and removal of equipment required for installations.
• Help maintain company property, vehicles, and tools in good condition and properly used.
• Complete paperwork neatly and timely under supervision.
• Represent the company professionally in all business matters.
• Keep installation vehicle clean and organized.
• Perform similar duties as needed and maintain regular attendance.
