Job summary

Pro Comfort Solutions LLC is hiring an HVAC helper to join the install crew in Chicago. You will work beside the lead installer on furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps and boilers, learning the trade with hands-on experience. No HVAC experience is required, though some install experience helps.

Expect full-time day shifts, 40+ hours weekly, with overtime paid per state and federal law. Benefits include paid time off and training/certification support, with no health, dental or vision insurance

Job description

The second seat on the install crew. You work beside the lead installer on furnace, air conditioner, heat pump and boiler installs, and learn the trade one job at a time. No HVAC experience is needed, and some install experience helps.

You need this on day one

• Getting to our shop at 2052 N Latrobe Ave by the start time every workday, with a way there you can count on
• Working in attics, crawl spaces and basements, in every season
• Lifting and carrying equipment with a partner

This is the work

• Carrying, staging and cleaning up on install jobs
• Helping with duct work and equipment set-up
• Learning the trade from the lead installer you work beside
• Keeping tools, the van and the job site in order

What we teach

• The trade, one job at a time, next to an installer who does it for a living
• How to prepare for the EPA 608 exam, before you handle refrigerant
• The paperwork: photos and notes on every job

Helpers don't handle refrigerant until they're EPA 608 certified. You don't need the certification to start.

Full-time day shifts, 40 hours or more a week. Overtime is paid after 40 hours in a week, as state and federal law require.
