Job summary

K Komfort Heating & Cooling is seeking an HVAC Installer for construction sites in Milwaukee, WI. You will install and finish HVAC systems in new buildings, reading blueprints to determine layout, cutting and fitting ductwork, and wiring components to ensure proper operation.

The role requires strong technical HVAC knowledge, safety awareness, and the ability to work with other trades on-site. A high school diploma or equivalent and HVAC certification or apprenticeship are preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven HVAC installer/technician experience in construction.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems and components.
• Able to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, mechanical plans, and specs to determine layout and installation sequence.
• Perform rough-in work: lay out and install duct systems, vents, baths, returns, and line sets per design and codes.
• Finish work: set and mount air handlers, furnaces, condensers, HRVs/ERVs, thermostats, grilles, registers, and accessories; ensure airflow and operation.
• Install and connect refrigerant piping, condensate drains, and low-voltage wiring per diagrams and safety standards.
• Measure and determine ductwork and piping requirements; cut materials to size and assemble as needed.
• Collaborate with project foreman and other trades for coordinated execution.
• Follow safety standards and keep a clean work environment.
• Ensure all installations meet safety and building code requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Responsible for installing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in new construction projects. This role requires technical expertise and the ability to work collaboratively with other construction professionals to ensure that all systems are installed efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical plans, and specifications to determine layout, materials, and installation sequence.
• Perform rough-in work; layout and install duct systems, vents, bath fans, returns, and line sets per design and state/local codes.
• Perform finish work: set and mount air handlers, furnaces, condensers, HRVs/ERVs, thermostats, grilles, registers, and accessories; ensure proper airflow and operation.
• Install and connect refrigerant piping, condensate drains, and low-voltage/equipment wiring in accordance with diagrams, codes, and safety standards.
• Measure and determine ductwork and piping requirements; cut materials to size and assemble as necessary.
• Collaborate with project foreman and other trades to ensure cohesive and coordinated project execution.
• Comply with safety standards and regulations, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Ensure all installations meet safety and building code requirements.
