Capitol Supply and Service, a Style Crest company, is looking for a motivated and dedicated HVAC Installer to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for installing and servicing HVAC systems and products according to manufacturer specifications, while ensuring that all work is performed professionally, timely, and accurately in compliance with company policies and procedures.

With five Michigan locations, we provide comprehensive services, including furnace, air conditioner, water heater repairs, and HVAC installation.

Responsibilities:

• Works safely when performing installations or servicing of HVAC equipment.
• Follows all company policies and procedures for the type of installation being performed.
• Installs HVAC related equipment accurately and efficiently according to manufacturer’s specifications.
• Wires both line and low voltage to heating cooling equipment and water heaters.
• Installs copper refrigerant lines to air conditioning units, including soldering and brazing.
• Installs sheet metal and flex duct systems in manufactured hones residential and light commercial buildings.
• Properly connects gas lines to heating equipment.
• Premeasures jobs to identify proper materials required for install.
• Receives, verifies, and loads all equipment and materials needed for each job. Maintains stock levels on truck.
• Provides assistance to other installers as directed by management.
• Properly completes all paperwork required for each job timely and turns it in to the office. Secures signatures on all invoices unless the customer is not available.
• Follows company procedures on logging in customer payments and handles cash payments in accordance with company protocol.
• Performs all readings on test instruments and understands the importance of these readings.
• Checks in with office dispatcher after the completion of each job to report your status and any delays that have occurred. Manages time proactively to ensure scheduled jobs are completed each day. Answers all office calls in a timely manner.
• All jobs’ cancelations or rescheduling must be approved by the service coordinator and/or management.
• Ensures assigned company vehicle is kept clean and organized at all times. Notifies management when repairs or maintenance needs to be completed.
• Maintains all company tools in good working order and ensures all tools are safe to use.
• Performs work in a professional manner at all times. Ensures customers are treated with respect at all times. Reports any issues or problems to manager immediately.

Requirements:

• Completion of a trade program in an applicable field.
• Working knowledge of HVAC installation, start up, related HVAC tools and test instruments.
• Must be EPA certified.
• Must be mechanically inclined and be able to distinguish between different HVAC equipment.
• Demonstrates strong organizational and customer service skills.
• A detail and process-oriented individual who is organized with strong time management skills.
• Demonstrates solid problem solving, judgment and decision-making skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to work on-call and overtime hours require.
• Maintains a valid driver’s license and an acceptable MVR.
• Follow rules and regulations as described in the company handbook.
• Must be willing to work on-call and overtime hours as needed.
