The Installation Technician reports to the Installation Manager and is responsible for performing a range of HVACR installation jobs for residential customers. The role requires traits such as decisiveness, initiative, tact, judgment, integrity, dependability, and effective communication skills in technical contexts. The technician will interact with diverse demographic groups, primarily customers, other technicians, the Installation Manager, the Estimator, and the Parts Runner.

Representative duties include:
- Participating in ad hoc Installation Department teams to execute HVACR installations efficiently and promptly.
- Performing routine HVACR installation tasks independently.
- Assisting Senior Installation Technicians with training new employees on installation procedures and callback prevention.
- Engaging in point-of-work sales for Indoor Air Quality services, unit components, replacements, add-on units, and referring clients to sales staff.
- Supporting the IAQ and Service Departments with non-installation tasks as assigned.
- Performing other duties as directed by the Installation Manager.
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma and completion of a post-secondary HVACR program of at least two years.
- At least one year of full-time HVACR experience, in service or installation roles.
- Strong oral and reading skills, including the ability to interpret manufacturer instructions and communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
- Physical capability to perform all duties under Texas weather conditions.
- Interest and initiative in maintaining HVACR skills through self-study, training, workshops, and professional development.
- Willingness to learn point-of-service sales techniques, including lead development and sales of units and services.
- Valid Texas operator's license and ability to operate all company fleet vehicles within 30 days of employment.
- Ability to work efficiently under time pressures, irregular schedules, extreme weather, and varying customer demands and backlogs.
