Job summary

One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning® of Bristol is seeking an HVAC Installation Technician to support residential projects in Terryville, CT 06786. You will install systems including boilers, furnaces, AC, heat pumps and mini-splits, and prepare equipment for startup.

Required are a CT Journeyman license, valid driver’s license, and 1 year minimum installation experience. You will work Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with opportunities for growth and professional development.

Qualifications

• Connecticut HVAC Journeyman license is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Minimum one year of hands-on residential HVAC installation experience; 3–5+ years preferred.
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in Terryville, CT 06786.

Responsibilities

• Install residential HVAC systems, including oil boilers, oil furnaces, furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, mini-splits, and related equipment.
• Perform HVAC replacements and install energy-efficient equipment.
• Fabricate, assemble, modify, and install ductwork and piping as needed.
• Complete equipment connections and prepare HVAC systems for startup.
• Test installations for proper operation, airflow, and system performance.
• Troubleshoot and correct installation-related HVAC issues.
• Follow manufacturer specifications, codes, safety procedures, and company quality standards.
• Review completed installations with homeowners and explain basic HVAC system operation.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and respect customers' homes.
• Keep tools, materials, and the company vehicle organized.
• Coordinate with installation team to keep projects on schedule.
• Use company phone and software for job documentation.
• Deliver professional, respectful customer service on every installation.

• Valid Connecticut HVAC Journeyman license required

• Valid driver's license is required

• Minimum one year of hands‑on residential HVAC installation experience required; 3-5+ years preferred

• Basic knowledge of residential HVAC installation practices

• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work alongside a senior technician as part of the installation team

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

• Dependable, punctual, and able to manage time effectively

• Ability to work safely in residential environments and respect customers' homes and property

• Experience with residential HVAC installation, heating and cooling systems, oil boilers, oil furnaces, furnaces, air conditioning, heat pumps, mini-splits, ductwork, or HVAC equipment replacement is a plus
