Job summary

Simmons Heating & Cooling in Chesapeake, VA is hiring a full-time HVAC Installation Tech who will lead installs and manage an apprentice, taking ownership of every project. You’ll install air-to-air heat pumps, geothermal, generators, boilers, furnaces, and custom duct systems.

You’ll navigate attics and crawlspaces, communicate with homeowners, and maintain a clean, professional jobsite. Paid training, health insurance, dental, 401(k), paid holidays, vacation, and bonuses are offered.

Qualifications

• Two years installing HVAC equipment.
• One year of verifiable in-home experience.
• Ability to work in crawlspaces and attics for extended periods.
• Possess your own hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead installations from kickoff to final walkthrough and assign tasks to the apprentice.
• Coordinate removals and execute installs across air-to-air heat pumps, geothermal, generators, boilers, furnaces, and custom ductwork.
• Navigate attics and crawlspaces safely; communicate respectfully with homeowners.
• Keep the jobsite clean, safe, and professional; ensure quality craftsmanship.

• Full-time: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm
