Elmar Heating & Cooling, based in Timonium, Maryland, is seeking a Lead HVAC Installation Technician to manage residential installations from start to finish and lead a crew in the Greater Baltimore area.

Your role includes installing central AC, gas furnaces, heat pumps, and ductless mini-splits, while overseeing apprentices and ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with manufacturer specs. The position offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on residential HVAC installation experience
• Ability to independently lead residential HVAC installations
• Experience installing conventional split systems, heat pumps, air handlers, and gas furnaces
• Experience installing and commissioning ductless mini-split systems
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical, refrigerant, and mechanical installation issues
• EPA Universal Certification
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and follow manufacturer installation requirements
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to perform physical duties of installation including lifting and working in attics/crawl spaces/outdoors

Responsabilités

• Lead residential HVAC installation projects from start to finish

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Lead HVAC Installer, you'll be responsible for managing residential HVAC installations while ensuring every system is installed safely, efficiently, and to manufacturer specifications.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Lead residential HVAC installation projects from start to finish.
• Install and replace central air conditioning systems, gas furnaces, heat pumps, and air handlers.
• Install ductless mini-split systems, including single-zone and multi-zone configurations.

What We’re Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on residential HVAC installation experience.
• Proven ability to independently lead residential HVAC installations.
• Strong experience installing conventional split systems, heat pumps, air handlers, and gas furnaces.
• Experience installing and commissioning ductless mini-split systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical, refrigerant, and mechanical installation issues.
• EPA Universal Certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Fujitsu, or similar ductless heat pump systems.
• Boiler installation experience.
• Tankless water heater installation experience.
• Light commercial HVAC installation experience.
• Previous experience supervising installation crews or training apprentices.
