Job summary

Johnson Controls in Pasadena is seeking an Apprentice HVAC Technician to learn from our top HVAC teams. You will receive hands-on training through the Service Technical Academy (STA) with milestone recognition and monetary rewards, plus advancement opportunities.

Apprentices shall perform pneumatic control systems and mechanical equipment service under supervision, troubleshoot issues, and keep customers and contractors informed as work progresses.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience with HVAC equipment installation is required.
• Ability to perform general building maintenance.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently.
• Current driver’s license is required.
• Willingness to supplement on‑the‑job training with the apprenticeship program.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform pneumatic control systems and mechanical equipment service as assigned.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems; respond to basic warranty calls.
• Keep Johnson Controls, contractors, and the customer informed of progress and issues as needed.
