NuBlue Air in the Charlotte/Lake Norman area is seeking an HVAC Lead Installer to maintain production and quality by installing HVAC equipment for residential and light commercial customers. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and efficient job execution.

The position offers weekly pay with an hourly rate plus commissions, excellent benefits, and opportunities for training, growth, and advancement. You will oversee job sites and contribute to customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of installation experience.
• EPA certification required.
• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Must own hand and power tools applicable to trade.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Ability to perform heavy physical work up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Installs condensers, coils, furnaces, package units and rooftops.
• Designs or installs ducts for ventilation.
• Wires high efficiency systems, zoning, humidifiers.
• Maintains safety and quality in installation.
• Completes paperwork daily and tracks time/payroll.
• Maintains vehicle cleanliness and organization.

Requirements

Summary

The HVAC Lead Installer is responsible for maintaining required production and quality levels by installing HVAC equipment for residential and light commercial customers.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Performs light commercial and residential installation of condensers, coils, furnaces, package and
• roof top units, mini split systems, thermostats, high efficiency air filters, and IAQ products.
• Performs installation and/or design of ducts for ventilation purposes
• Performs installation and wiring of High Efficiency systems, zoning, humidifiers, dehumidifiers,
• and controls. Prioritizes quality control on layout, cleanliness, sealing the system, and overall
• installation details.
• Completes and submits required paperwork in a timely manner, including daily time/payroll sheets.
• Researches and selects materials for HVAC systems installation, repair, and maintenance, as needed.
• Ensures proper use and maintenance of equipment and supplies, while promoting continuous
• improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices. Supervises and assists in preparing
• for the day by loading equipment and material for scheduled jobs.
• Develops heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) system modification plans, as needed.
• Maintains company vehicle, ensuring cleanliness and organization both inside and out.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of installation experience is . HS Diploma or GED required.
• EPA certification required Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Must own hand tools and power tools applicable to complete installations. Ability to use hand and
• power tools applicable to trade.
• Ability to develop heating, ventilating, and air conditioning system modification plans.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints and/or technical manuals.
• Complete knowledge of mechanical systems, building materials, and basic building codes as related to HVAC.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Position requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds.
• Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of the installation.
• Work environment involves attic and crawl space applications.
• Valid driver's license and ability to maintain a clean driving record .
• Ability to pass a drug screen and pre-employment background check.
