You will install residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, and ductwork, while ensuring quality and customer satisfaction. You will mentor apprentices, oversee parts of project execution, and communicate clearly with homeowners. Responsibilities

• Perform residential HVAC installations including furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, air handlers, ductwork, line sets, condensate systems, and controls.
• Verify system performance through airflow, charging, and static pressure testing.
• Maintain accurate photo documentation and ensure customer-ready work.
• Oversee project execution, guide apprentices, and manage homeowner communication.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING AS OUR HVAC INSTALL TECHNICIAN

You’ll work on residential HVAC installations including furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, air handlers, ductwork, line sets, condensate systems, and controls. You’ll verify system performance through airflow, charge, and static pressure testing, keep accurate photo documentation, and leave every home clean and customer‑ready. Install Tech 3 team members will also oversee project execution, guide apprentices, and manage homeowner communication.

Who Should Apply:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift, work on ladders, and work in attics and crawlspaces
• Install Tech 2 and 3: an active Connecticut D-2 or S-2 journeyperson license
• No license is required for Install Tech 1 -- we register you as an apprentice with the CT Department of Labor and your hours count toward licensure from day one

Preferred Qualifications:

• EPA 608 certification
• Residential changeout experience - furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, air handlers
• Sheet metal and duct fabrication skills
• Experience commissioning to ACCA standards or having been held to measured airflow and static pressure
• Experience running a two‑person crew
• Ability to handle customer conversations directly
• Comfortable with a tablet for job documentation

Must have the ability to pass a background check.
