Job summary

Southern Home Services is seeking an HVAC Install Helper to assist the Lead Install Technician with residential HVAC system installations, upgrades, and replacements. You will deliver high-quality service, protect client property, and support operations in various weather and space conditions.

You will perform duties requiring physical effort, drive to job sites, communicate clearly with customers, and follow safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation of HVAC systems and equipment, ensuring compliance with service standards and customer specifications.
• Conduct thorough checks of all installation aspects to prevent callbacks and ensure optimal performance.
• Adhere to appliance standards and Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
• Maintain tools, parts, and the vehicle in a clean and organized manner.
• Use floor savers and drop cloths to protect clients' property and keep the work area neat.
• Meet scheduled appointments and on-call hours, ensuring timely job completion.
• Perform work in tight spaces (attics, crawl spaces) and in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
• Handle physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, and moving objects weighing over 50 pounds.
• Work safely on scaffolds and ladders at various heights.
• Additional duties as assigned.
