Job summary

Metro Mechanical Inc. is seeking a capable assistant to support the installation of commercial HVAC systems in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. You will work alongside an HVAC mechanic or lead installer on challenging commercial projects, helping with ductwork, material preparation, and on-site logistics.

The role emphasizes safety, adherence to standards, and efficient site operations. Candidates should be able to lift heavy items, work flexible hours, and follow procedures with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift, carry, pull and push components/equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Flexible work hours as required.
• Able to work well with minimal supervision.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specific procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist HVAC mechanic or lead installer on installing HVAC systems on commercial properties.
• Ensure HVAC systems comply with standards and protocols.
• Stock job site with ductwork and equipment; clean sites.
• Measure and prepare materials for HVAC installations.
• Assist in installing ducts and ducting systems.
• Ensure proper delivery and removal of equipment from client sites.
• Enforce safety measures before, during, and after each process.
• Comply with relevant codes and regulatory standards.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools for HVAC installation.
