Job summary

Metro Mechanical Inc. in the Dallas–Fort Worth area seeks an entry-level HVAC helper/installer to support lead installers on commercial projects, assist with measuring, material prep, ductwork installation, and operating various hand and power tools.

You will follow safety protocols, adhere to codes, and work with minimal supervision. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, pass a drug screen, and have a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift, carry, pull and push components/equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Flexible hours as required.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and follow procedures.
• Pass a drug screen.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Tools are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist HVAC mechanic or lead installer on installing HVAC systems on commercial properties.
• Follow instructions regarding collection and acquisition of tools and equipment.
• Ensure that all systems remain in compliance with standards and protocols.
• Stocking job site with ductwork & equipment & cleaning jobsites of HVAC identifiable trash.
• Measure and prepare the materials required for HVAC installations.
• Assist in the installation of ducts and ducting systems.
• Ensure proper delivery and removal of equipment from client sites.
• Enforce safety measures before, during, and after each process.
• Devise and implement methods in order to ensure that clients’ property remains safe.
• Complying with relevant codes and regulatory standards.
• Operating a variety of hand and power tools needed for HVAC installation.
