HVAC Install Helper

Department: HVAC

Location: Paso Robles Heating & Air - Paso Robles, CA

Compensation: $35,000 - $80,000 / year

Description

You will have the opportunity to quickly advance your HVAC career. You will be responsible for providing HVAC service and repairs for homeowners, meeting all their service requests, and ensuring outstanding customer service from all HVAC departments.

Key Responsibilities

• At least 1 year of HVAC experience
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
• Assist with HVAC installation tasks
• Always implement safety precautions
• Install HVAC systems and related equipment based on application & design, as directed by the manager
• Wire both line and low voltage to heating and cooling equipment
• Install copper refrigerant lines to air conditioning units, including soldering and brazing
• Properly connect gas lines to heating equipment
• Install condensation lines to equipment
• Receive, verify, and load all equipment and materials needed for each job
• Assist and train helpers as needed
• Establish effective working relationships with co-workers and superiors, fostering a positive work environment
• Complete all required paperwork and take photographic documentation as requested
• Basic ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Take refrigerant readings and interpret blueprints accordingly
• Maintain cleanliness of assigned company vehicle and keep it stocked
• Perform light platform work (repair/replacement)
• Fabricate sheet metal as necessary
• Perform other duties as assigned
