Roth Home, part of TurnPoint Services, is seeking motivated individuals for an apprentice HVAC program in Portland, Oregon. You’ll receive paid, hands-on training in a state-of-the-art facility and learn from experienced journeymen while building a foundation for a long-term career in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.

This role emphasizes strong communication, problem-solving, math skills, and the ability to work safely outdoors.

Competenze

• Reading and interpreting technical documents; explain concepts clearly to customers and team members.
• Strong mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, ratios, percentages, and interpreting graphs.
• Comfort using computers and technology, including data entry, spreadsheets, and word processing.

Mansioni

• Assist lead HVAC technicians with installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial systems.
• Attend apprenticeship classes and achieve passing grades in classroom and hands-on assessments.
• Learn and apply proper use of tools, equipment, and safety procedures on job sites.
• Measure, cut, and assemble ductwork, piping, and related components; support setup, wiring, and testing of HVAC units.
• Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance under guidance, including electrical, refrigerant, and airflow systems.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas, tools, and vehicles in line with safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and customers with professional service.
• Participate in ongoing hands-on training to build knowledge and grow toward becoming a licensed HVAC technician.
