LimRic Plumbing, Heating & Air, part of TurnPoint Services, invites you to join its Apprentice HVAC program in Charleston. Successful candidates bring strong reading, math, and problem‑solving skills, plus comfort with basic computing.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and explain concepts clearly.
• Solid math basics including fractions, decimals, ratios and percentages.
• Strong problem solving and reasoning abilities to troubleshoot issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Comfort with computers, data entry, spreadsheets, and word processing software.
• Physical stamina to lift and maneuver equipment, work outdoors, and climb ladders or scaffolding.
• Demonstrated work ethic, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn from experienced journeymen.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead HVAC technicians with installation, maintenance, and repair of systems.
• Attend apprenticeship classes and achieve passing grades in assessments.
• Learn and apply proper use of tools, equipment, and safety procedures.
• Measure, cut, and assemble ductwork and piping; assist with testing of HVAC units.
• Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance under guidance.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and tools; adhere to safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and customers.
• Participate in hands‑on training to build technical knowledge toward becoming a licensed HVAC technician.
• Work with experienced technicians to gain practical field experience and contribute to high‑quality work.
