Job summary

LONG Building Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Inside Sales Engineer to act as a liaison among internal sales, customers, and suppliers. You will analyze customer needs, bid projects, and perform takeoffs while tracking quotas and vendor activity to support profitable pricing.

The role requires HVAC expertise, strong communication, and the ability to coordinate with Sales Engineers and project managers on change orders and bids. Located in a dynamic construction environment with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience selling and/or applying HVAC equipment.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, energy management, engineering, installation, and construction procedures.
• Excellent computer skills, specifically with Microsoft applications.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates and proposals for HVAC equipment and products.
• Assist in bidding jobs with guidance from Sales Engineers.
• Coordinate project costs and invoicing in the project control system.
• Work with Sales Engineers and project managers on Change Orders.
