All-Temp Refrigeration Services Inc. is seeking a hands-on HVAC Helper in Madisonville, LA. The role supports HVAC/R teams with daily installation, maintenance, and repair tasks, helping you grow into Installer or Technician roles.

You will load tools, assist with wiring, ductwork, and material handling while keeping work areas safe and organized. On-the-job training is provided in a supportive, family-like environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn HVAC/R skills.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive team attitude.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and construction practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC/R systems and refrigeration equipment.
• Load, unload, and organize tools, materials, and equipment for daily jobs.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas on job sites, vehicles, and in the warehouse.
• Follow directions to perform basic tasks such as pulling wire and hanging ductwork.
• Support during diagnostic procedures by handing tools and recording information.
• Ensure work complies with company standards, safety protocols, and local codes.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and professionally on site.
• Communicate effectively with team members and represent the company professionally.
• Participate in training and safety meetings to develop skills.
• Perform other duties to support Installation and Construction teams.

Salary Range: $14.00 To $19.00 Hourly

Position Summary
The HVAC Helper supports HVAC/R Construction & Installation Teams with the day-to-day tasks needed to service, repair, and install commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment. This role is ideal for someone who wants to learn the trade, work with their hands, and grow into a skilled Installer or technician.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC/R systems, refrigeration equipment, and related components.
• Load, unload, and organize tools, materials, and equipment for daily jobs.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas on job sites, in company vehicles, and in the warehouse.
• Follow directions to perform basic tasks such as pulling wire, setting equipment, hanging ductwork, and cutting or assembling materials.
• Support during diagnostic procedures by handing tools, retrieving parts, and recording information.
• Help ensure all work is completed according to company standards, safety protocols, and local codes.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and equipment.
• Communicate effectively with team members and represent the company professionally on job sites.
• Participate in training, safety meetings, and skill development opportunities.
• Other duties as assigned to support the Installation and Construction teams.
