In this role, you'll assist with the installation and servicing of HVAC systems and products, ensuring all tasks meet manufacturer specifications. You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, timely work while adhering to company policies and procedures. Our mission is to deliver high-quality products, competitive pricing, and exceptional customer service, building a strong reputation across our five Michigan locations. Our services include furnace, air conditioner, water heater repairs, and HVAC installation.

Responsibilities:

• Work safely when performing installations or servicing HVAC equipment.
• Follow all company policies and procedures related to the specific installation and service tasks.
• Follow directions provided by the Lead Installer or Service Technician regarding the scope of work.
• Ensure all work is completed according to manufacturer specifications.
• Understand HVAC theory and electrical principles.
• Pre-measure jobs to determine the required materials.
• Assist in the installation of household appliances as needed.
• Verify and load all necessary equipment and materials for each job, maintaining stock levels on the truck.
• Maintain the company vehicle and report any maintenance needs.
• Assist and train associates as directed by management.
• Complete all required paperwork before the end of the shift.
• Perform readings with test instruments and understand their importance.
• Follow all applicable mechanical, electrical, and plumbing codes and regulations.
• Keep the dispatcher or supervisor informed of job status and delays.
• Maintain all tools in good working order and ensure their safety.
• Perform work professionally, treating customers with respect and reporting issues immediately.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a trade program is preferred.
• EPA 608 certification required or willingness to obtain within 90 days of employment.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to distinguish between different HVAC equipment.
• Strong organizational and customer service skills.
• Honest, dependable, eager to learn, and a team player.
• Problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work on-call and overtime hours as required.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean MVR.
• Adherence to company rules and regulations as outlined in the employee handbook.
