Job summary

ClimateCare Mechanical Service is seeking an HVAC General Foreman in California to lead union commercial and industrial HVAC service efforts. The role sets standards and drives outcomes across several crews, customers, and projects while coordinating manpower forecasting with the service coordinator and general manager.

Candidates should bring depth in HVAC, hydronics, controls, and safety, plus strong planning and customer leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Set standards and drive outcomes across multiple crews, customers, and projects.
• Forecast and level manpower with the service coordinator and general manager to meet schedule and quality requirements.
• Lead program-level safety, including cadence, trend review, stand-downs, JHAs, and lockout/tagout accuracy.
• Direct mobilization for larger scopes, review drawings, SOPs, manuals, and phasing, and plan rigging and cranes.
• Oversee startup and commissioning quality, documentation, completeness, and final turnover across projects.
• Remove roadblocks, resolve escalations, and align priorities with customers, operations, leadership, and vendors.
• Build the bench by coaching foremen, journeymen, apprentices, and tradesmen through ride-alongs, reviews, and targeted training.
• Proactively identify maintenance, repair, retrofit, and replacement opportunities and develop scopes of work and pricing with sales and operations.
• Build a customer- and team-centric culture that resolves disputes through CCMS CARE values.

The General Foreman supports manpower forecasting, program-level safety, mobilization, startup and commissioning quality, escalation resolution, customer alignment, team development, and pull-through generation.

Qualified candidates should have a positive industry reputation, demonstrated success leading multiple crews on complex commercial and industrial HVAC work, depth in HVAC, hydronics, controls, and safety requirements, strong planning, communication, customer leadership, team leadership, documentation skills, and commercial acumen.

The growth path for this role is Senior General Foreman or Field Operations Manager, supported by annual factory trainings.
