Job summary

ClimateCare Mechanical Service is seeking an HVAC Foreman in California to lead union commercial/industrial service projects. You will plan field execution, coordinate manpower, staging, rigging, and subcontractors, while enforcing safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include reading drawings, directing diagnostics/repairs, coordinating materials and vendors, and mentoring technicians and apprentices.

Qualifications

• Experience leading field operations for HVAC projects.
• Ability to read and mark up mechanical/electrical drawings.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record and insurability.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for team coaching and customer interaction.
• Ability to recruit, develop, and mentor journeymen, apprentices and tradesmen.

• Perform initial job walks and layouts; support quotes and bids.
• Direct complex diagnostics/repairs; escalate when needed.
• Provide daily updates to stakeholders; ensure documentation and closeout.
• Coach technicians and mentor leads through ride-alongs and supervision.
• Identify pull-through improvements to prevent shutdowns.
• Recruit and develop a team of journeymen, apprentices, and tradesmen.
• Foster a customer- and team-centric culture aligned with CCMS CARE values.

ClimateCare Mechanical Service is hiring an HVAC Foreman for union commercial and industrial HVAC service leadership in California.

This role plans field execution, manpower, staging, rigging, subcontractors, safety, documentation, vendor coordination, diagnostics, repairs, coaching, recruiting, and team development for assigned projects and customers.

• Direct complex diagnostics and repairs and escalation to operations or engineering when needed.
• Provide daily updates to designated stakeholders and ensure clean documentation and closeout.
• Coach technicians and mentor leads and apprentices through ride-alongs and on-the-job supervision.
• Identify and generate pull-through recommendations to resolve issues before they become shutdowns.
• Recruit, build, and develop a team of journeymen, apprentices, and tradesmen.
• Build a customer- and team-centric culture that resolves disputes through CCMS CARE values.

Qualified candidates should bring field leadership, strong communication skills, the ability to read and mark up drawings, CARE for customers and team members, a valid driver's license, clean driving record, insurability, organization, accountability, customer service, and positive industry representation.

The growth path for this role is Foreman to General Foreman to Senior General Foreman or Field Operations Manager, supported by annual factory trainings.
