Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas is hiring a full-time HVAC Foreman in Minneapolis, MN. You will supervise up to 10 technicians, diagnose and repair a range of commercial HVAC systems, and lead preventative maintenance programs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience with increasing responsibility; or 7+ years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Accepted as Foreman by the union.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Technical school with HVAC certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
• Rotational Emergency Call Support.
• Required license(s) and/or training card as required by local law district.
• Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Supervise up to 10 HVAC Technicians.
• Inspect and test systems to verify functionality for chillers, fan coils, water source heat pumps, AHUs, rooftops, cooling towers, and condenser tubes.
• Repair and replace defective equipment, components, or wiring.
• Maintain and inspect equipment to prevent breakdowns or callbacks.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, pipefit, and braze independently.
• Inspect and test systems for warranty service applications.
• Educate customers on proper use and maintenance schedules.
• Lead apprentices through hands-on demonstrations during rebuilds and retrofits.
• Program new control systems using touchscreens and computers.
• Document actions for project reports and billing records.
• Direct discussions with customers and owners on maintenance needs.
• Provide status updates and explain technical information to diverse audiences.
• Identify and quote opportunities for minor repairs.
• Record timecards, inventory, and related reports.
