Job summary

Yellowstone Local in Wichita, KS is seeking a seasoned HVAC leader to supervise commercial HVAC installation and service crews, ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality field operations.

You will coordinate daily schedules, review blueprints, guide technicians, and maintain project timelines while upholding OSHA safety standards. With 10+ years in commercial HVAC and a Journeyman license, you’ll mentor teams as the division grows.

Responsibilities

• Location: Wichita, KS
• Supervise commercial HVAC installation and service crews, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality field operations.
• Coordinate daily schedules, manpower, equipment, materials, and project priorities to keep jobs on track.
• Review blueprints, mechanical drawings, job scopes, and specifications to ensure installations meet applicable codes and company standards.
• Provide technical guidance, HVAC troubleshooting, and hands‑on support to technicians and installers when needed.
• Monitor job progress, productivity, workmanship, and project timelines to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Communicate with project managers, customers, subcontractors, and other trades to coordinate activities and resolve field issues.
• Identify potential project delays or installation challenges and implement practical solutions.
• Ensure crews follow company safety procedures, applicable OSHA requirements, and jobsite regulations.
• Conduct quality‑control inspections and oversee completion of punch‑list items.
• Assist with material planning, equipment coordination, and field resource management.
• Mentor and develop HVAC technicians and installers to strengthen team performance.
• Maintain accurate field documentation and provide timely project updates to management.

• Valid Journeyman HVAC License required.

• Experience supervising HVAC technicians, installers, or construction crews.

• Thorough knowledge of commercial HVAC equipment, systems, controls, and installation practices.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and project specifications.

• Strong HVAC troubleshooting, diagnostics, and problem‑solving skills.

• Knowledge of applicable mechanical codes, OSHA requirements, and jobsite safety standards.

• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced construction environment.

• Dependable, detail‑oriented, and committed to high‑quality workmanship.
