Job summary

Goodwill of Silicon Valley is seeking an experienced HVAC and Facility Maintenance Instructor to join the Career Technical Education team in San Jose. The role involves teaching up to four HVAC/Heat Pump Installation cohorts and four Facility Maintenance cohorts per year, while developing a leading clean-tech training program.

Qualifications

• Four years of hands-on field experience in residential and commercial maintenance.
• EPA Section 608 Universal certification and OSHA safety training.
• Completion of electrification certifications (NATE, Introduction to Heat Pumps, BPI AC/Heat Pump) within first three months.

Responsibilities

• Deliver HVAC and Facility Maintenance curriculum using engaging methods for adults facing employment barriers.
• Prepare students to pass EPA certifications (Core, Type I, II, III).
• Lead safety practices, compliance, and incident prevention strategies in the training lab.
• Develop partnerships with HVAC contractors for job placements and internships.
