Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an Equipment Project Manager to lead HVAC equipment projects, managing scope, schedule, and budget across assigned initiatives. This role emphasizes on-site collaboration with colleagues Monday through Thursday and flexible Fridays to balance work requirements.

You will coordinate with owners, contractors, and field staff, ensuring timely delivery and predictive cost control while maintaining top-notch customer service and proactive problem-solving across fast-paced

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in business or equivalent; 2+ years PM, equipment, HVAC, or related experience OR 4+ years PM, equipment, HVAC, or related experience.
• Candidates without a 4-year degree are encouraged to apply; practical experience prioritized over formal education.
• Familiarity with HVAC systems and temperature equipment preferred.
• Strong customer service and problem solving skills.
• Strong communication and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines in a high-paced environment with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Plans and analyzes assigned projects, establishes schedules and parameters, and sets procedures to meet system objectives with complex equipment.
• Communicates with customers and representatives, maintains customer satisfaction, and addresses concerns.
• Compares estimated ship dates with contractor schedules and ensures compliance with internal processes.
• Maintains forecast cost at completion and controls expenses.
• Creates and revises project schedules, tasks, estimates, dependencies, and milestones.
• Enters equipment orders, issues purchase orders, and generates work orders for equipment start-ups.
• Manages project cash-flow: progress billing, collections support, and resource management.
