Job summary

CBRE is seeking an HVAC Engineer to maintain mechanical and electrical equipment for complex commercial HVAC systems, conducting proactive performance testing and ongoing scheduled maintenance. The role supports preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems, within the Engineering and Technical Services function.

The candidate will perform site tasks, troubleshoot issues, and coach teammates while adhering to CBRE RI-SE values and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
• Sophisticated math skills: ability to calculate percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Assign tasks to team members and ensure duties are completed in a timely manner.
• Install, repair, adjust, service and maintain electric or pneumatic control systems for building HVAC and related equipment.
• Inspect and maintain HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation and compliance with codes and safety.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and identify best course of action for modifications.
• Share knowledge and coach others in the job discipline and related disciplines.
• Lead by example and help build consensus across teams to achieve CBRE RI-SE values.
• Impact customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and related teams.
• Explain difficult or sensitive information to stakeholders.
