Job summary

Golden Nugget Lake Charles is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to maintain commercial/industrial equipment across our luxury casino-resort facilities. The role requires interpreting schematics, maintaining licenses, and delivering high-quality service to guests and staff.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems, and ensure safe, compliant operation of all HVAC systems.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical certificate required.
• Three to five years experience with commercial/industrial equipment or equivalent.
• Current state HVAC license/certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit conduct in accordance with Gaming Commission Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and Golden Nugget and departmental policies and procedures.
• Consistently deliver positive, courteous and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors and fellow employees.
• Perform all preventive maintenance on systems and maintains applicable log books.
• Conduct walk-through inspections; changes belts, filters, adjusts volume dampers, checks gauges, coils, drain lines, bleeds gas lines, resets compressors, check unit sensors, relocates ductwork and troubleshoots to locate sources and cause of malfunction.
• Assist with estimating parts, supplies, equipment and labor hours needed to complete assigned repairs and monitors computer for malfunctions.
• Maintain quality of air, air flow and temperature at on and off-site facilities; adjusts valves to regulate temperature of lubrication oil and flow of water through system.
• Record gauge readings, repairs completed and time lost due to inoperative equipment. Maintain technical logs and records all relevant data as appropriate.
• Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
• Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations.
• Ensure prompt and discrete notification to senior management and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts and/or internal ethics violations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical certificate required.
