Samsung Austin Semiconductor is looking for a highly motivated and skilled Mechanical Systems Engineer to join our Facilities Engineering Team. In this role, you will tackle complex engineering challenges, lead improvement projects, review system designs, and manage critical projects on Exhaust and Process Systems. You will also oversee daily operations and maintenance to enhance system quality, reliability, and efficiency, directly supporting the high-precision operations of a semiconductor wafer fab. You will work to tackle our complex problems, initiate capacity improvement projects, review designs, and manage projects while developing strategies and roadmaps for improving quality and reliability. The Exhaust Team, a vital part of our Facilities engineering structure, manages a diverse range of systems, including Compressed Dry Air (CDA, IA), Acid/Alkali Scrubbed Exhaust, Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) Exhaust, Heat/General (H/G) Exhaust, Emergency and Smoke Exhaust, Process Vacuum (PVAC), and Clean Vacuum (CVAC). These systems are critical to maintaining uninterrupted operations, as they are designed to run 24/7, 365 days a year.
Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:
Here’s what you'll need: Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering. 8+ years of experience. Previous experience in plant operations, reliability engineering, or design engineering. The current base salary range for this role is between $76,000 - $145,000. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
