Job Title: HVAC/Energy Management Systems Technician I

Job Responsibilities

• Evaluate, repair, and maintain HVACR equipment such as chillers, boilers, pumps, heat pumps, gas packs, pneumatic controls, cooling towers, fan coil units, VAV units, and air handling systems. Maintain records, prepare reports, and order supplies.
• Develop and perform preventative maintenance schedules for HVACR equipment. Conduct routine inspections, cleaning, servicing, and repairs to ensure proper operation.
• Assist with general facility maintenance including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and door hardware repairs.
• Perform wall construction, repairs, and painting for maintenance and small projects.
• Support faculty with organizing and setting up instructional equipment, supplies, and furniture. Assist with event setups and minor furniture repairs. Participate in on-call duties for emergencies after hours and weekends on a rotational schedule.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

• High school diploma and experience in HVAC system installation, maintenance, or operation, or equivalent education and experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• EPA 608 Universal license or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

Four or more years of relevant HVAC experience is preferred.
