Job summary

Actalent in Frederick, MD is seeking an Electrical Engineer for HVAC systems. The role designs electrical and electromechanical components, prepares documentation, and supports testing, installation, and service across multiple stages.

The successful candidate will hold a BSEE or equivalent experience, be proficient in AutoCAD or Zuken E3, and have manufacturing experience with BOM management. This onsite role includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or 4 years of related experience.
• Experience drafting electrical CAD drawings with AutoCAD or Zuken E3.
• Experience with BOM creation and SAP or other MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical products and systems for HVAC equipment meeting standards and customer specs.
• Select and integrate electronic and control components for serial networks and building management systems.
• Create engineering documentation including schematics, BOM, and control layouts.
• Support testing, installation, and field service with engineering data and tooling.
• Evaluate field installations and propose design improvements to reduce malfunctions.
• Collaborate with sales, applications engineering and production teams.
