Summary

The DX Installer will report to the Service Manager and is responsible for installation of HVAC equipment and refrigeration piping. Incumbent must be able to install systems safely with good craftsmanship and within budgeted man hours.

• Installation of HVAC equipment, refrigeration equipment, hanging and brazing refrigeration piping, condensate piping, piping insulation, and low voltage wiring.
• Conduct all HVACR jobs promptly and professionally as a member of the Service Department.
• Perform HVAC/R servicing jobs efficiently and professionally.
• Possess basic computer knowledge to input required information for daily tasks.
• Support the Installation Departments by conducting non-service work as assigned.
• Prepare Service Tickets by collecting all required information and signatures.
• Willingness to perform non-service related support for the Installation Departments as needed.
• Perform duties as directed by the Service Branch Manager.
• Use Safety Equipment properly at all times.
• Manage time and workload effectively.
• Work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Work out of town as required.
• Stay current with industry trends through webinars, conferences, and reading.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Experience and Education

• Minimum 3 years of related industry experience (residential service or installation technician).
• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduate of a post-secondary HVACR program of at least two years.

Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities

• Work accurately within industry standards.
• Make decisions based on measurable criteria.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred.
• Proper use of Safety Equipment.
• Valid Florida Driver's License and insurability.
• EPA Certification required.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• Ability to diagnose efficiently and work under pressure.
• No fear of heights (Acrophobia).

Licenses/Certifications

• EPA Certification.
• Valid Florida Driver's License.
• Insurable by CES insurance carrier.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
