Job summary

ASI Hastings Inc. in San Diego is seeking an HVAC Duct Install Apprentice to support lead installers with residential duct work and to assist with installations, safety compliance, and customer education.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least two years in construction, and a valid driver’s license. It offers hourly pay and benefits including health insurance, retirement, PTO, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a general construction field.
• License: Valid driver’s license.
• Skills: Strong technical knowledge, problem solving, attention to detail, and communication.
• Physical: Able to lift 10-75 lbs, climb ladders, work in varied conditions.

Responsibilities

• Work with lead installer on residential duct work, gathering components, parts, and tools to complete the installation following safety standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the lead installer from start to finish and educate customers on new systems.
• Conduct maintenance and preventive maintenance checks, complete repairs, and offer recommendations for ongoing upkeep.
• Deliver excellent customer service by addressing client concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
