Job summary

Baker Distributing is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our fast-paced HVAC distribution team. You will help ensure accurate order picking, quality checks, and smooth inventory flow in a busy warehouse.

Responsibilities include receiving, stocking, preparing shipments, and maintaining equipment and safety standards. The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and adherence to PPE and safety protocols in daily operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred; equivalent professional experience may substitute.
• Demonstrated experience with HVAC equipment in a wholesale distribution setting.
• Background in sales, operations, purchasing, or inventory management preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Pick and verify orders for customers.
• Conduct quality inspections to verify accuracy of received, picked and shipped products.
• Daily loading and unloading of products in truck for delivery to customers or other centers.
• Receive, inspect, and stock all merchandise.
• Prepare orders for shipment as needed.
• Maintain daily truck and forklift maintenance checklist.
• Assist management with inventory counts and daily upkeep of the Warehouse.
• Adhere to all warehouse safety protocols and procedures.
• Utilize PPE as required and report safety hazards immediately.
• Participate in safety training sessions and drills.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of products; operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
