HKA Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Senior HVAC Design Technician in Portland, OR. The role leads the layout and routing of industrial HVAC and Process Exhaust systems, develops P&IDs and construction details, and coordinates with clients, contractors, and internal teams while applying IMC codes.

Hybrid schedule with a standard 8:00 AM–5:00 PM work day. Remote work possible for exceptional candidates. DOE pay range is $55.00–$60.00 per hour, with strong emphasis on independent, high-quality

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 8+ years of AutoCAD design experience.
• 4+ years of Revit design experience.
• 5+ years of industrial building mechanical design experience.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. Mechanical Codes, IMC.
• Demonstrated ability to independently execute design packages with minimal supervision.
• A four-year engineering degree is not accepted for this role.

Job Summary

As a Senior HVAC Design Technician, you will lead the layout and routing of industrial HVAC and Process Exhaust systems for advanced facilities. You will develop P&IDs, plans, sections, and construction details through planning, concept, and detailed design. You will coordinate directly with clients, contractors, and internal design and engineering disciplines while applying U.S. Mechanical Codes, including the International Mechanical Code (IMC), to ensure accurate work. This role suits an experienced designer who can work independently and apply sound technical judgment.

PAY: $55.00/hr - $60.00/hr DOE

LOCATION: Portland, OR (Remote possible for exceptional candidates)

WORK TYPE: Hybrid

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in complex industrial environments such as semiconductor manufacturing, cleanrooms, data centers, or other advanced manufacturing facilities
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
• Technical or Associate's degree in a relevant discipline
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Advanced problem-solving, planning, and analytical skills
