Job description

We’re looking for a Senior HVAC Design Technician who can contribute immediately to the development of complex industrial HVAC and Process Exhaust systems for advanced facilities. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary design and engineering teams and contribute across planning, concept, and detailed design with a high degree of independence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the design, layout, and routing of industrial building mechanical systems, including complex industrial HVAC and Process Exhaust systems.
• Develop P&IDs, plans, sections, and construction details.
• Perform design tasks across planning, concept, and detailed design.
• Coordinate directly with clients, contractors, and internal disciplines.
• Apply expert knowledge of building mechanical systems and U.S. Mechanical Codes, specifically the International Mechanical Code (IMC), to support quality and accuracy.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED.
• 8+ years of AutoCAD design experience.
• 4+ years of Revit design experience.
• 5+ years of industrial building mechanical design experience.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. Mechanical Codes, specifically the International Mechanical Code (IMC).
• Demonstrated ability to independently execute design packages with minimal supervision.
• Candidates with four-year degrees in Engineering are not being accepted for this role.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in complex industrial environments such as semiconductor manufacturing, cleanrooms, data centers, or other advanced manufacturing facilities.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Technical or Associate’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced problem-solving, planning, and analytical skills.
