Job summary

The Betlem Service Corporation, a division of EMCOR Services Betlem, is seeking a mechanical design engineer in Rochester, NY. You will design hydronic and air-side HVAC systems for design-build projects and prepare coordination-ready construction documents.

Requires a mechanical engineering degree and at least 4 years of design experience; energy analysis and ASHRAE/NY codes familiarity are a plus. Occasional travel to regional job sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized mechanical engineering program with minimum 4 years’ design experience.
• Energy analysis experience is a plus.
• Familiar with ASHRAE guidelines and local NYS codes.

Responsibilities

• Engineering and design services for hydronic and air-side HVAC systems for design-build projects.
• Produce construction documents for HVAC systems and coordinate with trades and vendors.
• Perform energy analyses and develop energy efficiency measures.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, project management, and field supervision to meet schedules.
• Provide technical support and assist in design reviews by the Engineering Manager.
• Develop proposals with sales teams and travel to regional job sites as needed.
