Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR seeks an HVAC design engineer to lead design efforts for ductwork, piping, and equipment sizing. The role focuses on DX systems, central plants for chilled and heating water, and accurate load calculations for new and renovated buildings.

The ideal candidate has experience with energy performance software, LEED criteria, and construction-phase deliverables, with AutoCAD proficiency and Revit familiarity welcomed. NY location preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in HVAC design, load calculations, and central plant systems.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD; Revit is a plus.
• Familiarity with energy performance software and LEED criteria.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC systems including ductwork, piping, and equipment sizing and selection.
• Design DX equipment and central chilled water/heating water plants.
• Perform heating and cooling load calculations for new and remodeled buildings.
• Coordinate with Owners, Contractors, Architects, and Code Authorities during design and construction phases.
