Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Controls Systems Technician to perform on-site system commissioning and basic diagnostics at customer sites in Illinois. You will load controller software, run tests, document results and maintain safety standards.

You will be responsible for basic calibration, communicating with customers, and contributing to as-built documentation while providing high-level service and upsell opportunities where appropriate.

Qualifications

• HVAC controls systems knowledge and experience.
• Experience with facilities management systems is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and ethical communication with customers.

Responsibilities

• Load system-level controller software and perform basic commissioning.
• Execute commissioning diagnostics and document results.
• Calibrate systems using basic electronic test equipment and update as-built docs.
• Provide on-site reports, communication with customers, and safety compliance.
