Job summary

AIR Carolinas is seeking a Controls Technician to assemble and wire custom control panels for HVAC systems, interpreting electrical schematics and selecting components to ensure safety and reliability.

The role requires 2+ years of HVAC controls experience, knowledge of Tridium/Niagara and related systems, and a valid driver’s license with willingness to travel. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Certificate, 2 or 4-year degree from an accredited trade school, college, or university required.
• 2+ years of HVAC Controls experience required.
• Knowledge and certifications with Tridium/Niagara, CPT, Reliable, KMC, etc. a plus.
• Configuration knowledge of AAON Controllers, etc. a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, wire, and test panels to drawings and application details.
• Test and validate each panel in quality control before shipping.
• Prepare packing lists and coordinate component shipping for items.
• Provide feedback to improve the panel building process.
• Track inventory and report to General Manager – Controls.
• Attend weekly meetings to prioritize projects and meet deadlines.
