Job summary

Capstone Mechanical, LP. is seeking an HVAC Controls Technician who uses pneumatic and electronic controls to install, calibrate, repair, and maintain control systems for building automation and energy management.

You will diagnose direct digital control systems at customer sites, interpret HVAC sequences, prepare for on-site work, test and commission projects, and provide training and support. A Texas operator's license and HVACR experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate and graduate of a post-secondary HVACR program of instruction of two or more years in duration.
• Two or more years of HVACR experience in commercial service or installation.
• Good oral and reading skills to communicate with customers and Capstone employees.
• Physical ability to perform duties under Texas weather conditions.
• Current Texas operator's license with ability to operate all vehicles in Capstone fleet within 30 days.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage customer needs.
• Knowledge of HVACR software programs and LAN/WAN concepts.
• Advanced experience with Internet and wide area networks.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes, diagnoses, and repairs direct digital control systems at customer locations.
• Understands HVAC sequences on VAV, make-up air, RTU, hydronic and other control systems.
• Prepares for on-site installation by examining layout and gathering materials.
• Records parts, labor, and costs; maintains inventory and documents activities.
• Tests, downloads programming, starts up, and commissions on assigned projects.
• Provides technical support and training at customer sites.
• Maintains vehicles and inspects equipment and literature.
• Travel to customer sites with occasional overnight stays.
