Job summary

Daikin Applied seeks a full-time Controls Technician III in Atlanta, GA to install, program, and service building automation systems. You will troubleshoot BAS components, commission sequences, and provide on-the-job training to peers.

Role requires 5+ years of BAS/HVAC experience, technical training, and Niagara AX/4 certification. OSHA-10 and safety compliance are expected as part of onboarding.

Qualifications

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED and technical training.
  • 5+ years of equivalent education/experience in BAS, HVAC or related industry.
  • Proficiency with instrument calibration and control diagnostics.

Responsibilities

  • Install, program, and service digital control systems for commercial buildings.
  • Troubleshoot direct digital control systems and diagnose issues.
  • Commission control sequences to meet design specifications.
  • Provide technical support and training to other technicians.
  • Maintain logs, reporting, and ensure safety procedures.

In this role, you will be responsible for installation, programming, and service of commercial building digital control systems. These responsibilities will increase based on exposure to tasks, ability to develop troubleshooting skill set, and consistent and accurate completion of assignments. The Building Automation Systems (BAS) you will be installing and servicing includes but is not limited to Daikin branded controls or third-party controls system. Come be a part of an exciting journey at Daikin Applied, where innovation and excellence drive our every endeavor!Location: Atlanta, GA. - OnsiteWhat you will do:Provide responsive and professional customer service with the goal of building and maintaining long-term customer relationshipsIdentify, analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot direct digital control systemsPerform preventative maintenance, commissioning, and replacement modifications as needed or requested by customersMaintain building automation systems by inspecting trend logs, reports, schedules, applications, hardware, and programmingProvide controls technical support to HVAC techniciansTrain and mentor less experienced techniciansCreate and/or implement programming and graphics for new installations and retrofit projectsCommission controls installations and verify that control sequences meet scope, design, or specificationsRecord and report billing, inventory, timecards, technician tip reports, and other articles as required and in a timely mannerInteract and train customers by offering status reports of service before, during, and after each call and explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiencesParticipate in available training through regional technician trainers, off-site learning modules, and Daikin Learning.
