Job summary

Daikin Applied, the world's largest HVAC company, seeks a full-time Controls Technician II in Atlanta, GA onsite. You will install, program, and service commercial building digital control systems, including Daikin branded or third-party controls, and troubleshoot with HVAC technicians.

Role offers on-site work, hands-on training, and opportunities to advance through regional training and Daikin Learning. A valid driver's license and prior BAS experience are required, with ongoing certification

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Technical training and 3+ years of experience.
  • Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.
  • OSHA 10 within 90 days of hire.
  • Niagara AX or Niagara 4 certification preferred.
  • Ability to read wiring and flow diagrams; familiarity with BACnet and related protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Install, program, and service building digital control systems.
  • Provide controls technical support to HVAC technicians.
  • Commission controls installations and verify control sequences meet scope and specs.
  • Record and report billing, timecards, and other required reports promptly.
  • Follow OSHA and Daikin safety policies; maintain a clean work area.

In this role, you will be responsible for installation, programming, and service of commercial building digital control systems. These responsibilities will increase based on exposure to tasks, ability to develop troubleshooting skill set, and consistent and accurate completion of assignments. The Building Automation Systems (BAS) you will be installing and servicing includes but is not limited to Daikin branded controls or third-party controls system. Come be a part of an exciting journey at Daikin Applied, where innovation and excellence drive our every endeavor!Location: Atlanta, GA. - OnsiteWhat you will do:Provide responsive and professional customer service with the goal of building and maintaining long-term customer relationshipsIdentify, analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot direct digital control systemsPerform preventative maintenance, commissioning, and replacement modifications as needed or requested by customersMaintain building automation systems by inspecting trend logs, reports, schedules, applications, hardware, and programmingProvide controls technical support to HVAC techniciansCreate and/or implement programming and graphics for new installations and retrofit projectsCommission controls installations and verify that control sequences meet scope, design, or specificationsRecord and report billing, inventory, timecards, technician tip reports, and other articles as required and in a timely mannerInteract and train customers by offering status reports of service before, during, and after each call and explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiencesParticipate in available training through regional technician trainers, off-site learning modules, and Daikin Learning.
