Job summary

Johnson Controls in the United States is hiring a Field HVAC COMMISSIONING TECHNICIAN to perform system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools. You will troubleshoot basic HVAC mechanical and electrical issues and provide high-quality service to customers.

Responsibilities include loading controller software, performing diagnostics, documenting changes, communicating on-site, and upholding safety standards while seeking efficiency improvements and upsell

Qualifications

• 2-year degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field or at least 2 years of industry experience.
• Knowledge of HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems and related servicing techniques.
• Effective interpersonal skills to represent Johnson Controls to customers ethically and professionally.
• Ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people.
• PC experience and ability to program HVAC related software.

Responsibilities

• Performs system commissioning using Johnson Controls tools.
• Troubleshoots basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems.
• Responds to basic warranty calls and provides on-site service.
• Loads controller software and completes required commissioning documentation.
• Keeps customers informed of job progress and issues.
• Adheres to safety standards and documents changes for as-built records.
